The British had their eyes set upon the Italian-held Dodecanese Islands since 1941, when they disputed Italian authority and in 1943, the British launched the ill-fated Operation Accolade, which led to one of the last major German victories of the war. The British finally set foot on the islands when the Germans surrendered in May 8th, 1945.
This build is inspired by true events and a well-known photo from the Imperial War Museum archives, where a British officer (Civil Affairs Major E. G. Forrester) is boarding a Kubelwagen with a German soldier serving as his driver.
The Kubelwagen is a very interesting piece, as it has a ballon-type spare wheel and the rear wheels seem to have different hubs from the from the front wheels. My spares and skill only allowed me to replicate a similar scene, which I think is pretty close

It might take a while to complete this one, as it will get paint together with the SU-152
