Scalemates

Hi,
Just wanted to know how many of you are using scalemates to keep track of your stash. Personally, i've been using it since last year and find it quite useful as most of my stash is stored in the basement due to space issues at my apartment. Offcoarse, it is also useful to check reviews when available.
What or why do you use it mostly for??

Scalemates its really a cool website, I like the projects tool where you can track and document all your projects, the new releases and the hot kit is something that i like to go to true so i can add some awesome kits to my never ending wish list.
Another part that i think people underestimate is the New Articles i found some really cool article and really awesome builds.
I also follow some exceptional modelers that are only posting in Scalemates.

Before last year when I registered, I often visited scalemates only for reviews or to check whether a kit was new tool or rebox etc. But from last year, I added my stash to it and now find it very useful as sometime there are kits that you tend to forget about so it's handy to have your database ready whenever needed.

I keep my stash on there, I do think the site could do with a little modernisation though to make it a little more user friendly, still a great resource though so I'm certainly not complaining

Same here, I like the wish list feature as well, it's considerably larger than my stash list... obviously....

Mainly for kit lineage or reviews.... never explored the other user utilities the site comes with.. good to know thou!

I use it a lot for kit info, but its been impossible to get my account verified. The verification mail never arrives and no response from the support email.

I maintain my own database, stored in the cloud for ready access, but also maintain a fairly up to date list on Scalemates. I find it handy for finding what photo etch and accessory sets are available for any given kit.

Once you've registered on Scalemates, you can't edit your email address. Mine has changed, so I'll probably have to dump all the work I've done there, and start again.

It saved my bacon from ordering the same kit from eBay that I already had in my stash
Great for looking up re boxed kits and seeing production dates
Some awesome modellers on the site...just not as nice as ISM guys

Quite simply as I approach 600 kits in the stash I wouldn't remember what I actually have without Scalemates.

it is really a good website and a good tool for modellers.

I've only a handful of kits in my stash, so really I just use it for checking the history of a kit i'm interested in, and I've added a record of what I've completed in the past (from what I can remember!)

I mainly use it for checking kits. My stash is one there as well, but its very small, so i dont really use it for that. The timeline feature is fantastic though.

scalemates is a tool that every modeller should use. the ability to keep track of your stash and new kits as well as linking kits too the extras we can get. LOVE IT !!
