W.I.P. Hobbyboss 1/72 Me262 Easy Assembly Authentic kit

Post by Daishi12 »

My wife, who is learning the basics of modelling thought that the Hobbyboss kit would be a good starting point for her 3rd kit.

So after buying the kit on Tuesday, starting on Wednesday and finishing the build Thursday here are some WIP shots :-

I have got to say that the kit is nicely detailed for a £5 kit with nice recessed panel lines, and only a small amount of filling and sanding to do.. I did think I would be clever and add some ballast into the drop tanks to add some weight to the nose, but it put the centre of gravity too far back on the fuselage, so I've had to drill some holes in the nose and fill with lead shot :( a good learning experience for both of us though.
