Post pigment application

Post by Kevthemodeller »

Hi all

I'm applying pigments for this first time. I've fixed them with thinner, they've dried but they are easily dislodged, do I need to dust over with matt coat to permanently fix them?

I usually find pigments on a matt coat enough but when I need to fix larger chunks I usually use a pigment fixer/binder or PVA glue mixed with water and pigments to create mud like sludge for large areas.

Ok, they're on a matt coat and as you say it's the larger bits. I've got a fixer and PVA so I'll use them, many thanks. :th:
