1/48 Hasegawa RF-4E Phantom II

Post by IanG »

Hellenic Air Force 348TRS Anniversary 2005 RF-4E

Painted with Ultimate black primer, and grey primer for the marbling and Hataka's HAF pt1 paint set for the camouflage.
Decals are Icarus sets for the scheme, and the stencils.
Weathering was done with Flory's Dark Dirt wash, various Tamiya Weathering Master colours, and watercolour pencils.
Varnishes used were Alclad Aqua Gloss, and Newton & Windsor matt.
Display base is from Coastal Kits Display Bases.
Reference material was Phantom Under the Skin vol 2 - RF-4E & F-4E, by Ioannis Lekkas.

Thanks for the compliment on the photos, they are only taken on iPhone. I have a DSLR, but that is less convenient just for a handful of shots.

I bought a cheap lighting kit off eBay. Comes with a couple of lights, with daylight bulbs and diffusers, and the background is a black roller blind from Wilko's.
