Hi

I've been loitering on the forum for a couple of months now and thought it time to join and say hello. I've been away from the hobby for more years than i care to remember (was a kid at home). I've been meddling with steam engines, model engineering, R/C in the mean time. Got inspired over Xmas last year; good friends came with their kid and I helped him build a little Airfix P51. Brought back a lot of memories - jumped on You Tube and found Paul's original 'techniques' series. Now slowly building back some skills and practicing with an old Airbrush (just ordered an Apex from UMPRetail ). Long way to go but having fun...

As Forbes says, loads of people here including myself are back to modelling after a break of some decades so you are in good company! There are some outstanding modellers here but don't let that put you off showing your stuff as everyone is very supportive.

Welcome to ISM! I, too, returned to modelling after a 25+ years hiatus. I've learnt so much on this forum, such a great wealth of knowledge, so just keep on building!

Glad to see another Kiwi around here, there is a few of us floating around. You should watch the live Youtube show show that Paul and a few of the lads put on Fri nights UK time about 8.30am Saturday for us. you can chat to the guys and there is giveaways and interviews, kit release news etc. few Kiwis lurking there.
