knowing how small it is.... it is quite detailed for such a small kit... I like the track and road wheels arrangement...

The detail level is very high, especially on the chassis. My only dissapointment is the inside of the tracks. Totally stripped bare, with nothing.

Hey Bissyboat
Does the marker run under paint?
I have seen the technique before online, but was never sure if it would bleed through or run when painted?

Ay up mate!
Not if you let it set after 5 seconds. The Edding marker pens are water based but dries very quickly. No it does not bleed or smudge.

Here´s more updates on the Chally. I have masked random parts of the tank, in an attempt to create segments of rusty looking armour plates. Secondly, I have coated the tank with XF59, desert yellow. With the masking tapes stripped off, you can see the segments more clearly. Next job is isolating all the segments from the desert colour, and paint them with two coats of XF79, deck brown linoleum to create a more unfinished look.

Nice work so far buddy. I built the normal version a while back, nice kits, great detail for the size. Looking forward to seeing the final reveal.

Thanks for your kind comments. Did you build the Chally in the same scale?

More updates on the chally...
Masking bonanaza.
The pink touch. Accidentally a little too pink.
Toning down the pink salmon colour with a light coating of Dunkel Gelb and dark wash. I don´t love it, but I don´t hate it.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. I don't have it any more but there's pics in my 'Trumpy Chally 2 buddy build' thread. Just had a look back, makes me want to get another now, lol!
Nice work on the paint, never seen pink used before! Might try that myself.

Sorry for the late reply. I haven´t been on the ISM for a long while. Thanks for positive feedback. I´m wondering if the salmon pink is a little too much. Next time when I do something similar to this, I would use XF 9 Hull red. Should be much better.
