Looking good, will follow with interest ......can I suggest that you swap out the British tanker because as far as I know only the Americans used the E8 as the British had the Firerfly

That 101st kit is a straight lift from the Band of Brothers 'Replacements' episode. I'm very tempted to get one myself. What is your opinion on them? They look good detail wise. Worth a punt?

M4A3E8 didn't see service until 1945, so would have missed the Normandy campaign - indeed the whole French campaign. So you'd need to make this "somewhere in Germany". The figures and the basic diorama concept are still sound. US airborne forces dropped East of the Rhine during the Rhine crossing, so a ground force link up thereafter works.

In response to earlier comments, UK did receive a very few E8 variants - mostly A2 diesels - but did not field them. Likewise any form of A3 variant as these were very much reserved for US use. HVSS variants received a "Y" designation after the mark number: e.g Sherman IIIY. However, as all would have been 76 or 105mm vehicles (there were no new-build HVSS 75's) they would have been Sherman IIIAY (76) or Sherman IBY (105). There was even a DD conversion of one: Sherman IIIAYDD.

The actual tank in the film "Fury" was an M4A2E8 diesel, a post-war only variant. I don't know what parts Italeri have included in their box: their Sherman line is a pretty confused mixture of appropriate and inappropriate parts for the variants they claim on the box.

Set looks nice, but.. I wait for painting a lot can be said when I start to paint the figures . This is how a paint is laid says a lot about the good detail and sharpness. It's hard to explain, so I'll wait with opinion. For now, it is well

Overall, this model is weak I know that the easy eight and Normandy is incorrect, but I chose this mix because the first really liked the scene in the German city from "Furie" movie and when I built this dioama I heard of the death of actor Gorden Kaye. I liked him very much so appeared inscription Rene. Yes, it's weird, but now I want to stay that way. Despite the fact that historically it is a mistake
