Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). Also, have only one project shown in the image per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

05). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

06). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

07). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

08). There will be a posted thread similar to this one on the ISM Forums. PLEASE post your work only in ONE of these. This will prevent us from having to sort through duplicate posts on both sites.

After the the live crew shows what they have been working on during the week, participating member's images and details will then be shown. This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

First time I've felt that a kit that I'm bashing is good enough to post up here

Name: 1:48 Messerschmitt Bf109E-4/N Trop
Make: Airfix (A05122A)
Aftermarket: None
Paints Used: Main colours are Vallejo Model Air 71.044 RLM02, 71.101 RLM78, 71.278 RML79, Tamiya XF-62 Olive Drab (for the mottling). Used various other Vallejo MA (red, yellow, white), Tamiya (XF-1, XF-69, XF-53) and Humbrol (241, 62, 113, 53) elsewhere through the build for detailing etc.

This is a first attempt at freehand airbrushing with no masking for the camo apart from the white fuselage band which I have fouled up a bit and the engine cowling is just resting in place hence the rather large looking gaps. I've taken some liberties with the paint job as it isn't what's in the box but is based on a photo of what looks like another bird from 1./JG27 that I found on the interweb which IMO looks much better than the field applied camo on the box

So, this is the bird on wheels, gloss coated and ready for decals - which may get started this week but it's likely going to be a couple of weeks before I can do them.

I've been cranking out a dio for the end is nigh. i'm new here and new to putting my stuff on the internets. but I just could not help myself on this one a chance to let it all out, and once I started I could not stop myself. sure zombies are cool but what about dinosaurs, and what if I make them zombies, and if that's the case might as well make them Nazi zombie dinosauers. well it was all down hill from there. if you need to see more check out my build

Phinished my Phantom
Hasegawa 1/72 F4 E with Tamiya paints for Thunderbird scheme,BMF wing edges and red pinstripe tape around the thunderbird shape.
Used the box's decals for numbers and roundels and such
Patch is from eBay, base is an old acrylic shelf painted Tamiya clear blue and then some clear LED's underneath
Made an acrylic support by heat bending a clear rod purchased from eBay, then CA glued it in place


The red white and blue combo is really quite striking in person

This is from yesterday. I painted the oil barrels today so all that's left is the snow. And if I'm honest I am absolutely bricking it at the thought of putting it on

I have some of Tamiya's new snow effects paint, both the standard effects and the powder effects paints. They look superb but its going to be a whole new process for me. I've seen the products demo'd on Andy's Hobby HQ on YouTube and they look superb, especially the standard snow paint which has a fine grit within it so when it dries it really looks like the real thing. Its thick so it can be applied with a knife rather than a brush so I'm hopeful of building up texture where its needed.

Both the base and the Elefant will need snow, I think I will start on the Elefant first as the snow will be in small amounts where it has gathered up against edges and corners. As for the snow on the base I first need to be clear in my mind as to how much coverage there will be. I think I'm going for having the roadway partially cleared of snow so there will be patches under foot and also snow to the side with some coverage on the rubble too.

That's the plan anyway.....

Finished the Airfix 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero this week. Painstakingly masking the canopy didn't turn out too well but practice makes perfect as they say!

Main colour is 90% Ultimate White Primer with 10% Vallejo Hemp mixed in. No after market extras. Theres a masking tape seatbelt in the cockpit and I used Tamiya Accent Panel Line Black for the panel lines after a future gloss coat, and Tamiya weathering master for the dirt residue. All other painting by Vallejo and finished off with a Vallejo Matt Coat.

No issues with the build. A lovely little kit and a nice addition to my small but growing 1:72 Warbird Collection.

Here's my completed 1/72 Airfix "Dogfight Doubles" Spitfire Mk1a and Messerschmitt BF109E-4.

The 109 was completed many months ago before I started frequenting the forum - brush painted using the humbrol acrylics that came with the kit. It looks terrible close up, covered in brush strokes, but I don't mind as it shows how much my skills have progressed.

The spitfire was airbrushed freehand using Tamiya acrylics and thinner. I didn't do any weathering as I think it makes a nice display as it is.

This week I would like to introduce you to my latest friend, he might look a bit grumpy but he's a nice guy when you get to know him.

It's a 1/3 scale bust of The Monster from MonsterPappa, not much of a kit, with only three parts but the sculpt is beautiful. Most of the painting has been done using Badger Minitaire Ghost tint Yellow, Green and Purple, details with Citadel Shade Carroburg Crimson and Reikland Fleshshade. The coat was painted in a mix of Vallejo Model Color Grey and Black and the teeth in a mix of white and yellow. I have also replaced the two parts that go in to the side of the neck with a real nut and bolt that I burnished using the Ultimate burnishing liquid. Next up is to start the detail painting on the eyes and teeth and then do some weathering on the coat and metal parts.
