Revell Queen Mary

Post by gazmat »

Well I guess this is a family heirloom now...My wifes uncle had this in his loft for years, unfortunately he died a few years ago, and I did the same, kept it in the loft, until a month ago. Loads of mistakes, but for a 1962 original kit it goes together quite well to be honest (and it was the year I was born)

Also, its the only kit I can keep in the house lol....The decals were a nightmare, so if anyone knows where I can find replacement, I'd be very happy....

Hope you enjoy...C+C welcome.

Wow, what a great kit and great job you did with it. What is the scale? If by chance you scan those decals before using them you could have a new set printed using a jet ink printer.

Hi there, thanks for your kind words, yes, I should of scanned them first, that would of possibly helped. as far as scale goes...not sure to be honest, nothing on the box, but it is still being made today, and I think Revell have never changed the tooling, I know the plans and box art (those in the pic are 1962) have changed, but thats about it....

Looks really good. Looks like a tighter fitting than the 1:570 Titanic. As for the decals have tried contacting Revell?
