Hi everyone.
I'm pretty new to modelling as I have not done a model since I was about 12 years old. (I'm 42 now)
I'm a gamer and really into World of Warships, especially the Royal Navy line of ships. One of my favourites is the HMS Belfast and having visited the ship and owning one in game, my mate decided to buy a Airfix 1:600 scale one for me as a surprise xmas present.
I decided that I would give it a go and my mate suggested I spend a few days around his as he's into Warhammer etc...and wanted to start into ships also. Using some basic tools and his Citadel paints, I began my first model...

It's very rough and the grey paint I used for the hull was too dark, but I am going to do some detailing tomorrow and adding camo to the ship as well, so hopefully it will brighten it up a bit. (I will add my build to the appropriate forum section once I find it and also up to Facebook as well)
I watched the stream last night and enjoyed it...I decided to go through a lot of paint I bought cheap of chap who was moving onto another hobby, so whilst watching & listening I went through over 100+ pots and as they were old bringing them back to life..some needed a lot of work, but am happy with the outcome.

I also went to Aldi today and bought 3 racks to use as my 'base station'..so everything is now nicely organised and I can start to finish the HMS Belfast off and then move onto my Tamiya 1:350 Bismarck.

(The pic on the wall is me @ Donnington Park many years ago)
