A new build for me, I'm hoping to rattle through quite sharpish.

Here's my review of the kit...

I had the same problem with the fit on that top fuselage/wing section. I thought it was because of the CWS resin correction set, but it seems to the kit itself.

I think it is the air intakes are set back a gnats chuff too far, after some sanding and shaving we're good to go..

I had the same exact problem on the Trumpeter Mig 23MF Flogger-B kit. So it is definitely something with the molds for the Mig 23 series of aircraft. I had to shave and thin the main gear housing to get it to fit "somewhat" properly. I was still left with a small gap that I filled with Perfect Plastic Putty and it looked better.

Kits fits good, the join where the nose fits on to the fuselage needs some attention and you have to be careful aolround the air intakes but other than that going good. Weapons though are getting boring...

A tiny bit more.
After a black prime, I've got the bombs all painted and Clear coted. Next is too wash the little buggers. I've tried to mottle and vary the paint on them, tho you probably can't see it very well. The silver looks awful



Started on the main camo, then got fed up with it.. I'll try again later..

Hi Tony, thanks mate. Tamiya rubber black, for the rims I used one of them plastic circle template things and to finish a little dry brush. Hope that helps

Now the Flogger has dried, it's time to apply a wash, namely an oil wash. Homemade, dark brown/black oil mix thinned the odourless sprits

The right hand (as you look) has been washed, left hand not...

Thanks bud. I like the way that an oil wash slightly filters down the paint, makes it look really grubby..

I use that aswell, but it have the idea it doesn't dry rock hard or softens again when i apply a wash. how long do you let it dry before you apply the wash?

and what sort of wash do you use? wich paint and thinner?

I've just started a new bottle, I believe they may have altered the formula so the jury is out. Having said that I've had no problems yet, sets rock hard. Usually leave 24hrs and this wash is an oil wash using odourless sprit's.
