Affordable AFV Kits

Hello, everyone. :hi:

I have a consumer question for my fellow AFV modelers out there. I am in the market for a new kit to fill some space in between more intensive projects like my current Normandy build. I am a teenager of little means, so my budget is low. I have looked around online at the various US sites I use (Scalehobbyist, Sprue Bros) and it seems to me that the number of kits under $30 is dwindling, at least it has in the few years since I started building AFV.

The obvious options for cheap kits are Tamiya's low, low end like their ancient Panther A and the Stug IV, Panzer I, Hanomag, etc, which I have all built already( and am now building the Panther agin with PE), so I'm running out of options. You guys have built and bought (mostly bought, from what I hear :D ) many more kits than I, and so you have better knowledge about manufacturers and specific kits.

If you guys could recommend some kits under $30 that you have built, or heard good things about, or seen a build of, I would be very grateful.:

I found trumpeter to be good. I built a couple of their kv-tanks, easy builds, good fit and cheap (at least in sweden).

Yes I found the same. Hobby Boss have some cheaper ones and of course cheap out face book groups. :th:
I would also say ICM if you are willing to order from the UKRAINE....there is no problems with doing that. :th:

OHH almost forgot Academy have some as well...check ebay South Korea. They have kits under 30

These feature free postage as well. So that should help a bit. :th:

Check the local sites like Craigslist and Kijiji often. People often list kits locally at really good prices.

I second the ICM comment above from Digger303.

Making their Panhard 178 amd at the moment. It's a fairly new tool and going together like a dream and also has excellent detail. Defo worth the money and with postage would most likely come out around $30.

Thanks for the advice guys. I just ordered some kits from Sprue Brothers. They're having a 25% off Spring Cleaning Sale, so I was able to expand my price range. Got the new Bronco Stug III E, comes with metal barrel, metal tow cable, PE and Indy link workable tracks for only $39. Yay

No problem mate. My question has been answered, so I don't mind the fresh discussion.

I have always found MiniArt kits to be oddly expensive, and so far I have resisted buying one for that reason, even when I had the money. They have some interesting subjects that you don't find elsewhere, though.

I clicked on the logo and found that it was paid advertising and took me straight to Miniarts website. Which is a good site. It has a nice painting guide. But it is a wholesalers.
