Truck Wheels

Do people bother to flatten them or leave them as is?

The truck I'm building is Tamiyas 1/35 Krupp Protze, I don't really want to spend loads on aftermarket/resin wheels etc so just wondering if it worth going to the bother of trying to flatten the wheels having never done it before.

if you do then all must be the same or wheels will not sit on flat surface
