Newbie saying Hello :)

Hi Guys,

I'm Bob, new to the hobby other than a few Airfix kits built as a kid in the 1970's.

I got into the hobby by accident in the break between Christmas and New Year. I was at home while Mrs B was at work, fairly bored so I packed the kids into the car and headed out into the fog to Hobbycraft to find something to do. As I was mooching around I found myself in the model section and a Tamiya Challenger 1 jumped out at me (actually my youngest knocked it off the shelf :D ).

I enjoyed making it so much I bought a few more kits, and so far have completed the Challenger, a Chieftain Mk V and a Ferrari F430. I've got a Spitfire in my meager stash which I'm going to build next.

Cheers,

Bowcat

Thanks for the warm welcome all.

Avgas, I kinda guessed that, I've already had to move my paints, weathering products, tools etc from a plastic box into a 3 drawer bedside table that has been re-purposed. :D

I've still got a couple of aircraft, a tank and another Ferrari to build, so going to try and at least get half of them built before buying more. Saying that, I haven't done a German WW2 AFV yet, so might have to pick one up when I'm at Hobbycraft next for paints. Ssh, don't tell the wife. :D :D

Hi Bob,
I understand what you're saying. After watching just a few of Phil and Lee's videos, it became clear that an addition was needed in my home. Best of luck.
