We are putting our house on the market and building a new one. We have to de-clutter the house so i had to pack all modelling tools and work bench or as the wife calls it the nerd lad. The builder takes 9 months to build a house. No modeling for a long time. How do i fill the hole or feed the need.

Paint warhammer figures as you can keep them all in a small tub along with the paints etc.. so no need for spray booths, compressors and a wide range of modelling tools. There is someone who paints his warhammer figures in the Costa Coffee near me

If you can find a little desk or table to make a nerd corner, you will be surprised what you can make. Rolling carts or clear plastic, lidded bins for supplies and kits so you can see stuff and get at it ...yet it is still 'packed''.
I did that in our rental while we built our house.
FYI your builder will take longer and it will cost more...just saying, but it is great in the end

I hate having my hobbies uprooted. Even now, having a permanent hobby room, I make sure everything has a carrying handle and can be easily packed away.

Keeping things compartmentalized, wheeled and portable is a good point
Anything too fixed and I can't move things around in
Got steel garage tables with wood tops so I didn't have to do built ins....can be removed easily if needed this way

Seeing the title of the thread I thought we were going to be talking about family planning. Seriously though folks you could buy a PS4 - pretty cheap entertainment at the moment compared to modelling. If you have never had a current gen console there is a huge back catalogue of cheap games. You probably aren't a man child like me though and will have to settle for Netflix.
