Thought it was time...

...I showed that I do actually build and finish models and hopefully, the pictures will show, rather than just links.

Either way, on with the show...

Despite my usual glacial pace, I have managed to finish 4 kits since the start of this year, three of them even started in 2017 anyway, on to the pictures...

Starting with F4Models 1:72 Light Flight Deck Tractor

The Carpet Hound pinched the original towing hook so new one was manufactured, other than that, straight out of the box!

Painted with Xtracolor enamels and Flat Vanish, finished in the colours as used on HMS Triumph!

Second is Aeroclub's 1:48 Spitfire Mk.XIV/XVIII conversion set...

Built as a Mk.XVIII, using Academy MkXIVe wings and painted as TP972 'E' from 60 Sqdn.

Interior cobbled together using a mixture the Academy/Aeroclub and the Cutting Edge Mk24 Cockpit set, Eduard PR.XIX Interior and Exterior PE plus Quickboost Gyro Gun Site and although not strictly accurate, I'm quite pleased with the end result. The exterior is finished with the BarracudaCast propeller (although I have since learnt that the blades are fixed in the pitch, too be suited shortl), Master Barrels, Quickboost PR.XI Camera detail set for the lower fuselage.

Finished with Xtracolor Enamels and varnish whilst decals came from Xtradecal generic letters and roundels!

Third up is the Airfix 1:48 Spitfire PR.XIX

Finished as PS888 "The Last" and I decided to add a couple of aftermarket sets...

Again, not strictly accurate (what's a Mark of two amongst friends) I had a spare Aires Engine & Cockpit set for the Airfix Mk.22/24 kit, BarracudaCast Intake, Propeller and Canopy, Eduard interior and Exterior detail sets plus the Mk.IX surface panels plus SAC landing gear! There are several scratched several items including the weights in the tail, internal control rods plus additional plumbing for the cockpit and engine while the oil & fuel tanks and the cover have also been scratch built!

One of the things that I'm disappointed with, is the exposed internals for the propeller as the silver collar at the front, should be angled out like a cone but despite having made several attempts at doing this, I couldn't get a suitable finish, so decided to build with straight edge!

Finished with Xtracolor enamels and Xtradecal decals

Finally, this is Tamiya's 1:48 Mosquito FB Mk.VI

Finished as NT202 AJ-N of 617 Sqdn and again, decided to add one or two aftermarket sets...

I have used the Aires Bomb Bay and Engine Sets, CMK Wing Mounted Coolers, MDC Cockpit, Master Gun Barrels and Pitot, Quick & Easy Tail Wheel and Strut, Quickboost Undercarriage Doors, SAC Landing Gear, Squadron Canopy (with the top panel removed), True Details Main Wheels and the Verlinden Gun Bays and Control Surfaces.

Fuel drop tanks were modified to show internal face and as the Aires Bomb Bay set had the bomb bay fuel tanks missing scratched plus of short range tanks and then added a pair Marabu's Bomb Racks

Painted using XtraColor enamels and varnish while decals used were XtraDecal X48075 617 Squadron History and BarracudaCast Stencils.

Anyway, thanks for looking and comments and criticisms are welcome...

Super work. I particularly like the very flat paint finish you get.
