Paul's 1/48 Airfix Javelin

Post by Paul »

Airfix 1/48 Javelin Final shots
Sprayed in MRP Paints Raf Green and Dark sea grey, The kit decals were used for the most part. I didn't gloss coat at all all decals were placed over the Mrp paints and set with Microset, sol and Solvaset.
Weathering was done with Ultimate and Ammo washes, and some post shading using the airbrush.
Im happy how it turned out, theres some flaws to it but thats just how it is ;)
Great kit i would highly recommend and build again

Nice work paul! Whatever flaws it has aren't noticeable at all. Flaws give a model character anyway. It's a reminder that it's a creation by humans. I've enjoyed seeing your WIP pictures of this as well. It was great to finally talk to you on the hangout a couple of weeks back. Looking forward to your Macross build.

Great build. They always look like jousting knights with that refuel probe sticking out like it does. How did you get the wing roundels to sit down over the vortex generators on the top wing?
