Revell 2009 tigermeet decal problem

hI all, i was applying the decals for this kit and i started on the bottom of the f16 and they went on great. So next day i started on the top. Was going well until next day i noticed that they glittered(looks sparkly). Just the top ones the bottom ones are still fine. Used micro sol/set. Does anyone know where i went wrong so i don't do the same mistake next time.

Are you decaling straight onto paint or did you lay down a gloss coat first?

no i klear coated first, strange as the bottom decals went on a treat.

Is there a way for you posting a picture of that? I think i've had the exact same problem but i'm not sure.

Hi Guys thanks for answering my query here is a photo. i also notice some of the decal (like a coating was coming of in the water). Sorry for the poor quality was trying to catch the glittering.

Hmmm, ok so it kinda looks familiar to what happened to me 2 times, as far i can tell from that picture.
The problem is, you applied the decal set too quickly after the decal softener.
I use the Revell's decal softener and micro set. The problem is, if you apply the micro set right after the softener, it will attack or destroy the decal. This happened 2 times to me.

I recommend to let the decal dry for complete 24 hours before you apply the micro set. The softener and set hate each other, means if you apply the micro set while the decal is still sort of wet, they will fight each other and that will result in either the decal being destroyed or you get that sparkling.
