This is my new project the Valentine IV mk111 from the 50th RTR North Africa, March 1943.(called Respond)

The Tank, Infantry, Mk III, Valentine was an infantry tank produced in the United Kingdom during the Second World War. More than 8,000 of the type were produced in eleven marks, plus various specialised variants, accounting for approximately a quarter of wartime British tank production. The many variants included riveted and welded construction, petrol and diesel engines and a progressive increase in armament. It was supplied in large numbers to the USSR and built under licence in Canada. Developed by Vickers, it proved to be both strong and reliable.

Cleaned the wheels & suspension parts



Had to some filling on the bogie cover plate



made up the front idler housings


Fitted the wheels & suspension, idler and drive sprocket

You never do, Pete. All your builds are fantastic

No hanging around Pete, straight on to the next project (unlike me who can't decide on the paint scheme for my next project).

No and I'm building 1/72 Walrus mk1, trying to do a engine mod ,dill all 9 cylinders and make and fit 18 exhaust pipes

Hi chief, thought I'd keep my hand in, the kit is "VM" Co.Ltd,there in Saint-Petersburg,Russia.

I saw it at "On-Track 2017" model show in Folkestone, Kent and the rest is history.

Finish the lower hull





Fitted some of the upper hull hatches



On to the turret I'm getting Ready Mix in for this bit ( it's a concrete Co)






I've removed all the molded handles and will replace them plus a bucket full of modifications

I did on the Autoblinda and will tomorow

Finish the building part

Fitted lights, tools, stowage boxs, exhaust which I cut a slot in the tail pipe end,handels etc also req some filling


Had to make up some handles,and add missing rivets to f/r mud flaps and where req as you can there where 1 or2









Next up paint

that's what I'm going to call it from now on "detailing work" now missing, adding or modifications.

Hi this one is now finish








The tracks are not rusted on this vehicle,they where made from magnesium alloy and did not rust.

The antenna I'v painted grey, allied armour would be flat black/grey/green, they only painted them to avoid any reflecting in the field. the paints would be as low as possible in lead content to reduce restriction in broadcast and reception.

Hi Norm, thank you it's not one of my better ones, lost my interest in the hobby to be honest just wanted it finished
