Eduard Aircaft kit

Post by expc624kevneale »

:eeek: :wall:
I'm about halfway in to building a Bf 110C from Eduard and sorry to say its a load of poo. Uptodate the cockpit was fine to nuild but the rest is crap nothing goes together at all, wide gaps on seams wing roots and underbelly. Wide gaps around enigine and wheel bays and nose. More casting flash than Ibhave ever seen in a kit. Spent more time filling and sanding tham anything else.

Has anyone had these problems with Eduard kits or have I just got an old tool pressed kit and some bad luck.

Scalemates has very good reviews of this kit (I bought this kit myself based on the reviews but haven't built it yet). I've just checked the sprues on mine and can see no flash so it looks like you have a one off. Eduard are normally top quality so I'm not sure what's gone wrong with your kit. It was first produced in 2007 so the moulds should still be in good nick. Maybe worth taking some pics and contacting Eduard?
Regards, Dave.

Thanks for that Dave, I have had a look at the Eduard Bf 109 E that I have in my stash thats ok no flash nice clean parts no sink marks. My 110 may be what I would call a Friday night Monday morning kit. My bad look.

I am also about half way. As stated the cockpit went together good the rest had been challenging. Big gaps at every joint.

strange it is a retooled 2007 kit and had good reviews. I wonder what happened to yours. You perhaps have been extremely unlucky.
You could try emailing eduard with your issues...to see what the response is.
