Search Function

Post by ElCapitan »

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere - I couldn't find anything.

I use the forum search function fairly often and have found that it usually ignores part of the term that I have put in. I've also noticed that it's always an important part of what I am looking for, for example the scale, the model of a particular subject e.g. Panzer "IV", or the word "diorama" for some reason.

Is this deliberate, or fixable? It can be a bit annoying at times having to trawl through pages and pages of results.

I've run into this before and find it annoying. I think it is a function of the website software they use; I'm not sure if it can be tuned at all.

However, your post, however, sparked an idea. Try using google to search with a string like:

site:intscalemodeller.com panzer iv

This returned lots of relevant results. Not as convenient, but mush more powerful. Maybe a google search can be integrated into the site?

That's a great help! It also seems to show more relevant results instead of every single post and reply on each thread!
