H-hello...is this thing on???

Hello all,
Long time lurker, first time poster. Thought it was about time I said hello. Have a few models in the stash for now including the obligatory Spitfires and Lancasters but have been finding a real joy in building my first Tamiya 1/12 bike. Fits like a dream, barely any clean up required and a subject I've never done before. My only gripe, if I have one at all, is the chrome parts where they come off the sprue and cannot be touched up to any reasonable degree with normal metallic paints from model colour, humbrol, citadel or the like. But I'm hoping a dip into the wallet for a new airbrush and some alclads will over come that for the most part.
