hi, just started this cool hobby but need a few questions answered if possible,
i have brought some pe parts for a tamiya subaru and was wondering if i could use the decals to cover the pe parts ,eg the number plate or do they need painting ? `thinking of using ts-50 to spray the body etc would i need to clear coat first before applying the decals ? how do use the pe bonnet pins can't work out how they go together? the pe kit is from scale motorsport.

Hi! Sorry I can't help you, but it's possible your question flew under the radar of the experts so... Bump!

I can't speak to the bonnet locks without a chance to go look at them, but you can decal over a PE number plate with a good gloss coat no problem.

Yes a decal can cover PE, but you may want to prime and or paint it first to blend better
Yes clear coat before decals to let them attach to a smooth surface and then clear after again to seal them in ...you can then polish the entire body including over the decals

For the hood pin PE, that is a PITA. I have some that do this
