I've moved this over from winter is coming GB.
As promised here's the latest up date for those that were interested.

Almost fully assembled now, with all the external work remaining


The Gun platform is weathered and fully assembled, there's a little more weathering to be done, mud etc but it's almost there

Nicely detailed looking, certainly made more of the tamiya kit than I could.

Thanks mate. It's not the best kit for fit especially the side shields that said some of the PE gets in the way even though it's fitted as per the instructions, little more planning on my part required I think, all part of that learning curve.

Ok here's another up date.

The decals and winter wash is on, let the weathering begin




The figures are also primed, these will be my first in 30 odd years

Looking great! Those figures certainly look like in the middle of the winter

Been busy today, here's another up date. The weathering has started sorry for the pictures/lighting that's the next area I need to look at oh my god more expense

Looking superb Kev. I love the depth, how the rust and chips seem to have come through the whitewash, like its right back to the metal of the hull

Thanks mate, that's the effect I was trying to achieve. I did stack loads of research of the winter 44 /45 they had almost no time for maintenance.

Little up date, I've started on the figures, these are my first in over 30 years
Base coat is on and the faces I'm calling done, I didn't really know what I was doing I've seen loads of tutorials on U tube even bought a DVD. I don't think they come out too bad loads of room for improvement, which is all part of the fun

Had some time on the bench over the weekend, figures are almost there now, couldn't get the black outer ring on the cap roundel no matter what I did! Got the weathering of them left to do after the dull coat has dried. They've not come out too bad I think, the light and camera don't show the highlights and shading, I've done hopefully they'll look better after weathering.


Just the snow to go on the Wepse now.

And finally I'm calling this finished, I've been so busy with work and family just not had the time last few months. This should have been finished end of April but things got the better of me. This was my second build in over 30yrs I'm happy with it, there's a lot I'd do differently, it was great fun learned a huge amount, now looking forward to the next GB

Yes they're included, it's a nice little kit but this one has PE which really brings it alive. I started it for the Winter is Coming GB but missed the deadline see here viewtopic.php?f=582&t=21394
