Hi All,
Here's my converted Heller 1/72 Vampire with Canuck Vampire decals.
Wing tips modified from flat to rounded edge.
Intakes slightly modified near wing root.
Cockpit includes scratch details using various pieces/strips of sytrene and electronic wire for instrument bezzles.
Gun sight was made from more tiny pieces of styrene and electronic wire.
Made rear deck radio equipment from spare pieces of styrene doodads and painted electronic wire.
Unfortunately, cockpit detail not visible from photos taken.
Made wingtip navigation lights from scrap pieces of clear styrene and backdrilled shallow holes and painted green and red.
Openned up flap bays and flaps were made from more styrene and used "Rosie-Rivetter" tool to add detail.
Flap actuators were made from narrow stryene strips glued together at an angle, which was attached to inner flaps.
Flap hydraulics were made from Albion aluminum tube and piano wire, which were attached to outter flaps.
Raised panel lines were replaced w/ recessed panel lines.
Main landing gear wheels came from Airfix Spitfire PRXIX kit.

Model was painted with:
Tamiya acrylic flat white and flat red.
Hawkeye acrylic aluminum paint.
PollyScale acrylic flat black.
Testors enamel gray.
Vampire mouth artwork was painted spraying white paint and masking lips and fangs, and spraying black paint.
Gloss coated with Alclad "Aqua Gloss".
Enjoy,
Alex Bernardo
