I have been a member of the forum for a while but not actually posted on here. I frequently watch the show on Youtube and have send some questions and commented on Facebook threads.
I had a look at this as I was procrastinating this morning and this is a great Forum.
I am look forward to seeing some more detailed images of the builds you show on the Youtube channel. I am especially interested in Paul's current build and the way he filled the grand canyon of gaps with evergreen plastic of various types. Furthermore, if Ivan is going to finish the Yak-3, because when he does finish a model it is quality work and his subjects are ones I personally like building.

I have come back to the hobby in the last couple of years. I used to build airfix planes in my bedroom and they used to hang from my ceiling until a very annoyed sister went at them with a tennis racket! I dabbled a bit at university with some Airfix WRC cars. But, I have caught the bug after my father gave me an old Airfix 1:24 Mk I three christmases ago. It all started coming back and I enjoyed buying the Humbrol paints and building. I then started picking up Airfix 1:72 models until I had a massive stash. But, then realised I do not really like Airfix models or 1:72. So I have sold most of those and reloaded with an airbrush and lots of 1:48 planes. I am a little like Ivan I have lots of started projects but only a few that I have finished. My first 1:48 model and Hobby Boss Bearcat having pride of place in my modelling shed along with a stash that just keeps growing. My three year old daughter and work keep me out of there, with another on the way I need to get on with things while the going is good.

I hope joining and now being active on here will make me a better modeller and find people with a similar interest because everybody I tell that I build models thinks I am a right loser! This looks a little more interactive than Scalemates that I currently use for stash and sharing.

Finally I would like to be brave and have a go at a group build of some description. Hopefully it will give me the focus to finish something!

Cheers

Dan

Hi Dan Im new as well, and yes Pauls and Ivans videos (and so many more on this site) are just awesome! I had a sister just like that who made a mess out of my old Revell boat. If was not for glue, it would have been trashed (hmm if it was not for glue, it would have never been made!! hehe, sorry I get silly alot) :welcome: to ISM
