Crown Cap for Iwata HP C Plus ???

Gentlemen,
I purchased a Crown Cap for my Iwata HP C Plus. I have yet to use my airbrush since I am gearing up to leave hand painting and begin using an airbrush.
I have read that a Crown Cap allows close up detail spraying without fear of damaging the needle. There is no need to remove the standard protection cap. It also allows easier cleaning of the needle tip while using the airbrush.
What are the negatives of using the Crown Cap versus using the standard protection cap? I do not envision doing fine detail spraying until I get past the airbrush basics. Would you suggest I just stick to the standard protection cap that came with the airbrush or switch to the Crow Cap, since it is easier to see the needle, and to clean the needl3?
Thanks.
Warren
