I can't wrap my head around the size of this monster, even wight he comparisons to your hands and a paint bottle

Watched the review last night when I got in from work. Was almost funny in a way... I have never seen Paul so excited about a kit. Sat there smiling to myself the whole way through. THIS IS WHAT MODEL MAKING IS ABOUT.

The 1/6 Africa Twin engine fully painted up , primed using gloss primer the the metal work using alclad, Ak extreme and mr hobby super metals. The engine covers were custom colours mixed by eye to reference colours.

Gorgeous paul. Is the mirror finish on the base black a must for the alclads and the like ?
I notice the tamiya paint call-outs are for a matt finish on the valve cover and frame, mmm, not sure about that ?

Got the frame built up for the 1/6 Africa Twin. Sprayed it with Mr surfaced 1500 black. Got the engine in place as well as some of hosework too

. Oh and my chainset arrived today too.

Fab looking kit, I was sat with a big grin watching your inbox review earlier. Now I peep in here and what do I see? Paul building the monster kit, at break neck speed and with awesome skills.

Some more progress to the Tamiya 1/6 CRF1000L. Rear suspension shock done, throttle bodies, various ancillary parts and the rear arch too with piping

I need to stop watching this stunning build paul., it just wants tm make me start my own lol but i've too much on with the Enzo.
If your ever felling flush, you might want to take a look at the harley fat boy lo. I was comparing them earlier and couldnt seperate them., both beautifull kits although i think the harley has more parts. Lovey job., quality i think we all aspire too.

Does the red spring mean your going with the pearl white ?

More progress to the 1/6 CRF1000L Rear swing arm and wheel etc attached to the bike and suspension fully working

. Not happy with the rear disc difficult to get it in the callipers without scratching so will remove and repeat another day. On with assembly on the chain.

I had the same issue with the discs on the big carrera GT. I ended up covering the discs with tamiya tape cut into semi circles. It was either that or cutting the caliper off which i knew would be a world of pain !

Got the Tamiya Pearl white sprayed into the 1/6 CRF hondas fairings and tank today. Beautiful colour hot the blue to mask and spray next. Also more progress to the chain.

It's the tamiya pearl white that i'm going to use for the Enzo paul. Did you as it suggests give the parts a coat of ordinary gloss white before applying the pearl white ? I'm just concerned that if that is the case then i may have fit issues on the doors and engine cover. I'm also trying to cover red plastic with the white. I'm also hoping your gonna tell me you just used primer under the pearl white.

Ah, exellent paul. The thought of primer, gloss white and then pearl white had me a bit worried.

As for the chain, did you paint the plastic links metalic grey as it suggests ? Your chain looks 'brighter' than that.

It's not painted buddy, that's how it looks just built up

Decaling done to the 1/6 CRF1000L. Awesome decals from Tamiya that layer down perfectly. Glad to get them out the way

looking good and likeing the colour scheme you went with, that chain looks cool as well, couple of quick questions paint wise, i like the colour of black you used on the air intake pipes very realistic looking, what was it? and also the rear brake disc braking surface is also a really nice metallic realistic colour, what did you use for that? I also noticed you used the surfacer black for the frame, does that give a nice fine slight texture to it? couldn't really see in the photos? many thanks

Heat staining done to the Africa twin exhaust. A mix of alclad gold for Lexan, hot violet, hot red, blue And sepia finally blended with the gold again. One more heat shield left to carbon decal (I ran out) and the exhaust is finished. Also got all the hoses on and a few other panels etc.
