"WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING ON THIS WEEK?" - A NEW SEGMENT OF FRIDAY NIGHT'S ISM LIVE "AT THE BENCH" SHOW!

* Open now until 1 hour before the show on Friday, July 7th*

** PLEASE read ALL of the rules below carefully! **

Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show. Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.

02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.

03). Remember, post only one image per member each week. This will prevent prolific builders from dominating this segment and will prevent this part of the show from becoming too long.

04). Also, have only one project shown in the image per member each week. Again, this prevents prolific builders from dominating this segment and making this segment longer than it needs to be.

05). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).

06). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

07). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

08). There will be a posted thread similar to this one on the ISM Forums. PLEASE post your work only in ONE of these. This will prevent us from having to sort through duplicate posts on both sites.

After the the live crew shows what they have been working on during the week, participating member's images and details will then be shown. This is an opportunity for you as members to be directly involved with the show. We hope that you will participate no matter your level of experience. This will not be a critique of anyone's work.

We thank you in advance for allowing us the opportunity to showcase your models! - Lee Larholt, Paul Bretland, and the rest of the ISM moderators and live crew. :-)

I got hosed last week due to the PhotoBucket F up, so I am redeeming with a finished lights on pic
1/72 Airfix Sea King Tamiya yellow with wait for it.......................Future clear :nena:
Airwaves PE sets for crew stairs and exterior details
Flat black areas on nose and engine sides are Ultimate primer airbrushed on top of black bare metal foil sheet...had to Ca glue it down as would not stick well
Grey parts are Ultimate primer white/ grey mixes to give various tones of sea grey
Five 0402 SMD LED's that are barely 1mm wide driven by a 9V battery

Love this model, one of the nicest I have done IMHO and I had a blast making it
I just purchased another of these Airfix Sea King kits to make in Canadian Forces livery
Had lots of help from the forum members and I tip my drink to you all :cheers2:

Howdy all! Hope everyone is doing well!

1/35 Tamiya US M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" - European Theater

Fun kit, highly recommended. Primed in Ultimate Black. Aber aftermarket barrel. Painted overall in in XF-62 Olive Drab. Accessories painted in XF-64 Red Brown and Vallejo Air Steel.

Then chipped a bit with dry brushed Vallejo Air Steel. Gloss coated in Aquagloss. This actually worked a lot better than I'm used to for a chipping layer. It looks like it will hold up better to the final dullcote than my past builds (the chipping details were very very muted by the testors dullcote I sprayed directly on the paint without a gloss layer between.) Decals applied and sealed in Aquagloss.

Finally, I tried a pin/oil wash/streaking for the first time. Used generic oils from the hobby store and streaked with odorless (white) spirits. I am pleased with the results. Next up will be getting the tracks on and filters.

Have a great weekend!

Been doing a bit more work on my Tamiya Me-262 during the week. The Tamiya decals went down a lot better then I expected. After the decals I added a coat of aqua gloss and then some Ultimate dark dirt wash. Have started to add some chipping using Humbrol 11 and AKchipping color both with a sponge and a brush, I still want to add a bit more in some areas. The colors have also been faded using a drop or two of white mixed with the original colors from MR Paints, RLM 76, 81, 82 and post shaded using Tamiya smoke. It's a bit to strong and looks even stronger in the picture, but usually when I do this most of it disappear after the final flat coat so I went a bit heavier this time.
