Next project dilemma and in box review

Hello again with a new subject, just planning out the next build after the current Ferrari 126 C2. I wanted to get your
Opinions on which of these builds that A: you'd like to see and B: well.... cure some indecisiveness!

Choice number 1:

The 1/12 MFH 1977 Tyrrell P34 6 wheeler...... (quick in box review next)

Choice number 2: Tamiya 1/12 Mclaren MP 4/6.... with some.... minor..... editions.

So to the quick review, the MFH box is pretty standard fair for this company as it is very minimalist and prefers to let

And so to the innards. With very little of the kit being in resin, it comes down to the body, front wing and engine block

Next just for scale ( my wrinkled old hand) the main chassis:

So over all the resin is crisply molded with little to no flash, the tires are superb with the preprinted branding
Looking amazing needing only a little weathering and the rest of the white metal parts cast to precision. As always
With MFH kits you have to pre assemble everything first and the white metal parts will all need some fettling for fit
But (I think anyway) the best example of this subject out there.

An old kit to be sure and one that has lived in my stash for a long time with out any love. But with the recent addition
Of the top studio "OCD" super detailing sets, you can see my dilemma......

So have at it! Which one of these beauties should I beat my head against a brick wall over for the next while?

The P34 was so distinctive and groundbreaking, how ironic and sad that F1, that was set up to spawn automotive innovation banned it so quickly. I was too young and living in the middle east at the time to see it race, but a couple of years later I did have a pencil case with a photo of the P34 on it.
That's an intimidating looking kit, but what a great subject.

Hi am going to say the mclaren only because it's the one I remember I was only 13 in 1977 so didn't know about the tyrell a great car all the same

Holy Freaking Mother of all Molars :

Those are two incredible kits!!! I am super envious of you having the choice, and both in 1/12 scale. wow
I am going to have to pull out the 1/8 Pocher kits just to keep up

You cannot go wrong with either, but I would lean to the McLaren only b/c Tyrell stole a win from Villeneuve (Ferrari) by protesting a split rear wing design.

Thanks for the feed back gents. It looks like the mclaren will be on the bench next. I think she's been in the stash long
Enough and deserves some lavish attention. As I will be super detailing it, I'll do a little build review on the "Top studio"
Parts as I go along and any reference materials used. Speaking of which, check out this gem......

@exmoor, yeah I have a soft spot for the Tyrrell as it was my favourite matchbox car as a kid but as I am a big fan
Of Ayrton Senna, I have been planning a tribute of his race/championship winning cars but have been procrastinating
Because I didn't think I could do it justice. However as the saying goes "s--t or get off the pot" as it were so the Mclaren
It is.

I'll probably start a new one so it's easier to find. I've given myself a month to 6 weeks to complete the Ferrari 126 then I'll
Start the Mclaren.

My vote would be for the mclaren as well. I have the ferrari and williams in that scale but the mclaren is defo shouting the loudest . I may start it after the Enzo. I was looking at the perfect parts for all three kits but thats a fair bit of wonga just for detail parts. I would be keen to see how you get on with the top studio set

@Johnj, yeah it's a fair whack for the complete detail set, I collected that stuff over a fair amount of time to spread the
Cost out but the kit just out of the box should build up to an amazing looking car. Be great to see you start one as well.
