This one is for our club's '80ies build'. No need for introduction. Almost OOB except for engine cover mesh and styrene sheets covering usual old Tamiya's gaping holes. I will try to replicate the vehicle without side skirts shown during 1981 Maneuvers Red Claymore ( http://military-database.de/1981-red-cl ... -free-lion ). However that depends on tracks, if I can fit them well enough to have proper sag etc. Next I will have to think how to make properly looking camo nets. So far, no fancy catastrophe had occurred but I am quite able to debilitate my build any time . Tonight, just after black primer.







Hopefully we all will like the end result.

Looking good, are the smoke launchers supposed to be that thick in the walls or is it because of the limitations of tech from older kits ?

I think it is the limitation, the kit is a '73 tech (if I am not mistaken).

Now it feels like it's rolling

Not a detail out of place

Some weathering (oil washes and local smearing, drybrushing with medium grey) already done, now on to another round of washes and more fun with colors. So far I love working with this old kit. It just calls you to finish it any way you want . This was my first with making a camo net and ... more learning needed. I learnt the technique but chose wrong material ... what to expect, I am, after all a man.

Well, it is as done as it will for a foreseeable future
