Hello from the Netherlands

Hello!
My name is Daan and I live with girlfriend in Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands. I made models as a kid but stopped when other things took my interest, and picked it up again about two months ago. I've learned in the last couple of weeks that this seems to be a very common story for many people in this hobby! I don't have a Youtube channel, but since I enjoy writing I also started a blog to keep track of my progress. I don't know if linking to it might be frowned upon here but if you would like to check it out you should be able to find it in my profile.
At this point I have only a stash of Revell boxes, most of which used to belong to my dad but which he recently donated to me! Revell used to be his brand and thus mine, and I want it will likely remain my brand until I have more trust in my abilities. The Tamiya stuff looks fantastic so I hope to end up with quality like that as soon as I feel good enough to splash the cash on that! Hopefully this forum can be another great source for information and asking questions and improving myself!
Some other interests of mine: I watch snooker a lot, but don't play it myself since there seem to be only 6 people in NL who even follow the sport.
I also used to play PC (strategy) games, but some recent developments in my life made me look for other things to spend my evenings on. I am interested in WW2, but by no means a history buff.
See you around here!
