Happy to join this for my first car build. basic Kit. Got a spare bottle of MRP imprezza blue and MRP clears to experiment with.
Also got some PE harness' from Eduard.

Got the annual winter LURGI.. fekkin kids. Small bit of priming and some PE belts while i suffer...

Small jumpy update. Just paint job gloss and trims plus a polish to go

Sorry for the different quality in pics. Had to relinquish my s8 when i departed employment and have a shitty phone and the batteries on the SLR are all a bit deconditioned since its been a while since i used it.. so here we go

BlackeBased MRP BRZ Soobie Bloo

1st Coat.. smooth but a cuple of dust bits got in...polishing required before 2nd coat

masked for gold tints
Image
masked for titanium and gold
Image
pre assemble
Image
sub assemblies
Image
Dash - drilled out th wheel... mr Hobby Gold for the inner wheel and dash bezels
Image
Wheels were chrome stripped and painted with MRP Super Gloss black and MrHobby Gold, instrument bezels painted

Fire Extinquishers and lines and PE belts fitted through seat inc some coops drilled holes
Image
PE harness glued in on to the roll cage and layed out with a little glue

Glad to see you are making some progress, in fact you are way farther ahead than I am :bash:

I really like that dark metallic Subaru blue...cant put my finger on why though :think: :scratch::

Thanks Dude.. its a nice colour.. handy mis ordered paint.. Mate your doing way more to your build than I... trying to mask these stupid windows for the black trim. TBH ill be glad when its finished... no more cars for me for a while...

I know what you mean am on only my 3rd car but am learning there is a system of doing them .like jumping around the instructions. Then you got to remember what you haven't done.

MRP Super Gloss First coat laid down and looks good. Smooth as and no thinners or leveling thinners required.. sprays as smooth as any of the MRP paints.. am impressed

Its looking good i have seen people useing marker pens to do windows havent tryed it yet but may give it a go has i always get paint where it shouldnt be :bash:

OO you mean like a sharpie?.. i saw someone use them to help clear mold lines...that sounds like its worth a try and a gloss coat over it.. maybe?
EDIT: looks shite... guess masking it will give me something to do while the show is on tonight...
