I'm sorry lads, I've changed my mind once again...since John Sharpe is already doing the Spyder 918 and the C class Porsches haven't been represented here (yet), I will proceed with this build instead...considering how slowly I've been known to work, wanted to have plenty of time to complete.

17 Aug: drilled the rotors out, dry fit cockpit to the body and the upper and lower bodies. Pre-assembly on wheels/tires.
18 Aug: took off rear fins, primed some...airbrush troubles hindered me badly. Some work on the spoiler completed.
18 Aug: Spoiler, body interior and chassis primed on the interior and bottom, cockpit, seat and interior duct panels primed and painted, wheels are primed ready for some work. Basic colors on the disc rotors applied.
19 Aug: Mostly interior trinkets done, and working on the lights/platforms.
20 Aug: Cockpit, dash and headlights completed, but not installed yet.
21 Aug: Between work and not sleeping well, all I did was manage to make a mess of the rims...and the semi-gloss white went on sooo smooth too, well, it is what it is...moving on.
22 Aug: Finished the rims and letter transfers, masked off the interior shell and managed to get 2 good base coats down on the Red body color.
24 Aug: Base coat of red applied, didn't like the results...solicited some help from the Facebook page and am now in the process of knocking back the color and trying again. Either not getting enough wet color down or too much air pressure, probably a bit of both. Raining this morning, may have to wait to apply this next coat.
24 Aug: Managed to get a couple of wet coats on it, not perfect, but then again...what is? Also did some dry fitting of the doors, front glass and headlight lens covers, seeing as how I need to mark and mask a couple of areas for paint...before I do the semi-gloss black on top of the body.
25 Aug: Fitted, sanded and painted the interior of the doors, windscreen...now to figure out whether to mask and paint the headlight lens covers and tops of doors to match the body, or use the decals...I think the colors are gonna be real close.
26 Aug: Minor progress on the cockpit doors and front lens covers, one more mask on the bottom strip of the door and the top itself, I'm so leary I am going to pull up the paint already there...will attempt tonight.
26/27 Aug: Finished the lower door strips, lenses and black on top, not a super glossy coat, will see what some Allclad-II gloss does for it. Never polished anything before...I'm kinda assuming you do it after the clear gloss has cured very well?
Aug 27/28: Boogered the red on one side, first couple repair coats already back on...more gloss and calling it good to go for decals.
29 Aug: Waiting for clear gloss coat to cure, could be a while.
30 Aug: Chased down an electrical problem near my bench, cleaned up a bit and reorganized while waiting for gloss to dry...the weather wasn't helping today either, keeping it tackier than usual
31 Aug: Didn't mess with the body today, think tomorrow will be decals if all goes well after some chores are done.
01/02 Sep: Made a rocky start on the decals, very soft...micro-sol made them worse. Tore some, smeared some...what to do?
02 Sep: Finally finished applying the decals, had some rough spots, but that was mostly me and my monkey paws.Later, did some trim work on the rear body strip. Will begin final gloss coating tomorrow.
03 Sep: Waiting for the gloss to dry again, I checked this morning and I'm seeing some fine cracking of the decals...eeek!
04 Sep: Yup, both side panel decals cracked in multiple places, body is still tacky, demotivated...played with some trim pieces, getting them attached.
05 Sep: Didn't work on much today, got the headlight pans, cockpit, spoiler and dash trimmed up and glued in...working early tomorrow, so I'll have to think through the decal issues.
06/07 Sep: Flatted the entire car, fitted and glued all the bits except the rear tail lights and the wheels. I think I am going to weather this one a bit, hoping to obscure the decal screw up and attributing the rest, to the learning curve of modeling.
10/11 Sep: Applied some pastels to the finished model and photographed today in the sunlight. About to submit the reveal thread.
