The first issue was to figure out what color I wanted the car to be, tried Tamiya Metallic Blue.

Found it too light, so I'm going to go with Tamiya Royal Blue. Sprayed half of the underside to see the difference.

Both main components are coming together nicely.

Got the body primed up with Stynylrez black primer.

1st coat of Tamiya X-3 Royal blue thinned Tamiya Laquer thinner to extend drying time to help level it. A few rough spots to sand down before the second coat as a result of paint drying before hitting the model.

2nd coat is applied this time spraying slightly more paint on each pass. Made quite a difference.

A bit of a setback today, putting the final wet coat on, I noticed two big blobs of dust just after it was done, also had some orange peeling on one door area. Live and learn. Will break out the sandpaper tomorrow

Did some more sanding and another coat. Still not happy with it. I think I'm going to have to strip it back to the base body. Going to take a break on it for a bit and then return when I have some more mojo to solve it.
