Microscale Stand

The first time I tipped over my bottle of Micro Set I told myself to be more careful. The second time I did it, I figured I needed a new approach. That time not only did I dump the bottle, but I dumped it onto a sheet of decals. I designed a simple stand for the microscale bottles in Fusion 360. I shared the project here.

The picture above is my prototype (I had issues with the name-plate and didn't use it). My design was setup for 1/8" / 3.125 mm material. However, the measured thickness was only 2.75. All of my joints were too loose and required super-glue. I have since updated the project to use parameters for all of the individual components and reset to 2.75. You should be able to download the project from the share above and upload it back to your own install. From there you can export the drawings to DXF files and cut. I used a 60W Chinesium laser cutter. You can layout all the required pieces on a single 12" x 12" sheet of acrylic (or wood).

EDIT: I don't want to step on any toes. I am aware of the video Paul did on water brushes. I think that is a nice idea. I was not willing to try that, something about it just doesn't sit well with me. Plus, it doesn't work for Krystal Klear. I don't recall the exact video where he talked about the water pens. The pens worry me in that every sharpie I never properly used always dried out and got binned.

Mine have had liquid in for a year now, have not leaked at all or dried out
