Hobby boss A-10 Thunderbolt II

Post by MarkVerploeg »

Hi guys
So this will be the final reveal for my entry in this group build
I made the 1/48 A-10 Thunderbolt II aka the Warthog
Overall i found it to be a nice kit but it has a couple of minor issues
Mainly with the fit of the MK20 and MK82 bombs
There is a gap at the tailfins of the MK20's and the MK82's where a bit bend so it required some clamping to get those the way i wanted them to be
Other then that i had no real issues with the kit itself
The issues that i had where caused by after market parts that didn't fit all that well at first or didn't fit at all
But you can read about that in the build thread

But this is my finished A-10

And that is all i have for this build
Thanks for stopping by and having a look
Take care
Cheers
Mark

I grew up with those planes flying over my house. The EL is for England AFB which was in Alexandria, Louisiana. It has since been closed. I want to build that exact kit!

Looks great, I hope mine can turn out half that good.

I need to script a bot that does nothing but respond to your reveal threads with praise. Another triumph, dude.

A-10s are those builds that, when done right, look easy. Then you watch the build thread and it's like, no. Not so easy. IT's not that they're face-meltingly hard, but that they look like an endurance test. And then you need to add the colors...
