Polar Lights Time Machine

Post by kilgore456 »

[/

So, this will be my entry. I don't have a lot of experience with cars, but I've been wanting to give it a try, and this looks like it might be fun.
I also don't have much experience with forums. I know this picture isn't the best, but I wanted to make sure it would post properly.

Should be a fun build!

On a side not, to link Imgur stuff I copy the direct link to the image then paste it into the Full Editor & Preview. In the reply section of the page you can paste the link, then highlight it and click the image button. This wraps your link in img code and will display properly on the thread page. So it'd look something like what's listed below. (I always use the preview button to make sure the picture worked.)

Code: Select all

The tricky thing with Imgur is that it needs to be a direct link to the photo for this forum to display the picture. So, if you see a .jpg or some other file extension on the end of the url, that's what you want to use.

Awesome! I've thought about getting this kit myself, I can't wait to see you do it!

And yeah, there's a couple ways to grab the link from Imgur. There's just like aur0ra145 described above, and the way I do it.

Depending on where you're loading the image from you should see options for posting, you want the one marked "BBCode"

This will either be on the right side of the image or from a drop down menu:

Then you just click the "Copy" button and paste it into the reply box.

Hey, thanks for the tips guys! I'll try to get some sprue shots up soon. I just hope I don't mess up the body! There is some pretty fine detail work that I'm going to have to brush on. Thanks again!

Got a little work done last night. Got some serious cleaning up to do. I was watching the movie as I painted, and the interior detail is not very accurate. But I figure that just gives me some artistic license to add a little more color. The body that comes with the kit looks great right out of the box. It looks a lot liked brushed aluminum. I shot it with some dull coat to protect it when I mess up the detail paint!
