So this is what I've got for the Cold War GB.
Be nice to do some jets, haven't done one in a while. Think I'll start with the Migs first.
Enjoy the GB guys!

@Nige it's the 1/72 Canberra, not sure what its like yet, haven't looked. Although I'm expecting something to be missing as when I got home I noticed the box had been opened already!
@Paul I should be done by 4 and the mrs is off out so I'll have all night to get started! Woo hoo!

I'll be busy most of the weekend as usual. The only time I get to model is the early morning or late at night.
Sometimes I'll get an hour during the day if the kids are good haha.
Having an entire afternoon to work would blow my mind.
I'll probably open the box and go through all the parts in detail then hunt around for some reference materials this weekend.

You have far too much time chief, it's not fair.....lol
I've decided on some thing a little different for this GB. Will get some pics up a little later

After all my enthusiasm I now doubt I'll be able to start for a bit.
Life tends to bowl you a Shane Warne delivery just when you think things are going well.
Grrrrr.

Nothing that can't be sorted.
As it happens it shouldn't impact as much as I thought, I'll just have to do more in the house for a bit rather than in the 'hut of geek' so the kids are not on their own.

You could always start watching football and drinking beer with the fellas every weekend, or hanging out at the pub all the time.

Seriously dan, give it a rest mate. Both myself and lee have told you why the winners won, all round effect, not just the build, or ability or finished article but the effort put in.
GB participation is voluntary.
Your choice

Certainly not too late buddy - you can enter a build the day of the deadline if you could build it fast enough

As long as the kit is in unstarted condition simply create a new topic/ thread in the Cold War Group
Builds section posting box and sprue pictures in your first post - more info available in the guidelines subsection
Best of luck with the build.

Make a new topic here
http://intscalemodeller.com/viewforum.php?f=133
It's a good idea to name it something specific and identifiable. Like ... Tamiya 1/32 P51 Mustang Spam Attack... for example.
Then you can start with either a series of photos showing the box, and all it's contents (to show that the kit is unbuilt), or you can do a youtube vid of the same thing.
ISM is youtube friendly.
Then you start building your kit, taking pictures or video of it along the way, sorta documenting it. All the tricks you've used, special tools you like, any problems you had (yes problems are part of is too haha warts and all as my mom says)
At the end you take a bunch of pictures or a video or both to do a Final Reveal and post those here....
http://intscalemodeller.com/viewforum.php?f=134
At the end of the GB Paul and Lee will pick the build that best represents the journey of modelling as well as it's subject. It's not just the best piece, but the best log.
Then they'll put together a youtube show and announce the winners.
It's a hell of a lot of fun.

Don't see why not, the instruction sheet says it was produce from the 70's and used by most Warsaw Pact countries.

You could always hold on to the Concorde as there maybe a civilian aircraft SiG or GB in the not too distant future- I'm just saying 'cos you never know

Would not surprise me one bit considering I just opened my 2 year old Revell Boeing 747 kit
Well, can always open another kit too
