I found another one feline to build for this GB. This time it is the 2000 issue of the 1/72 Hasegawa Cougar. Years ago, I build an earlier release of this kit. This particular release represents an aircraft of VF-113 "Stingers."

About the F9F-8 Cougar

The cougar line started with the F9F-6 with the -8 being the last of the line. The -8B models were Cougars modified by the US Navy for Low Altitude Bombing. The -8P was the photo version and the -8T, the two-seater.

The Kit

This kit is fairly basic. It does have finely engraved, recessed panel lines, but the cockpit is little more than a box with slabs for instrument decals.

There are three light gray trees and one clear tree.

This kit is a re-issue with new decals for VF-113 "Stingers." Included in the box are the original instructions with marking diagrams for two other birds, but those decals are not supplied in this issue.
