So I am starting on the much anticipated release of the ICM 1/48 He111. Alot has been said about this kit and it is a kit I have been looking forward to since it was announced.
We start with the box with the lovely art work that is becoming a common feature on ICM kits.

The starting steps are the assemble to landing gear bay and the wing spars that will support the large wings and their weight. This assembly then builds up into the main bomb bay, cockpit and rear defensive gunners area. The cockpit has some lovely detail, including the 6 part foot controls. These are a tad fiddly but worth the work.

The fuselage is a good length and has some fairly good interior detail, BUT the caveat to that is that the interior has some unsightly injector pin marks.

The bomb racks/bays are a tad fiddly but takes very little effort to get assembled.
And we have an overall view of everything I got done on the first night of the build. It is a very typical ICM kit, and what I mean by that is, its great
