Gluing clear parts

Post by Magpie2 »

Hi everyone
Hope you all had a good Christmas.
Can anyone give me some advice on affixing clear parts to a model?
I’m using Microscale Kristal Klear.
I’m currently working on a 1/32nd scale Mosquito mk4 bomber by Revell.
I had reached the stage of gluing the two fuselage half’s together, as I’m doing so out pops one of the nose windows I’d attached 2 days earlier using the above mentioned glue.
Am I right in thinking this PVA based adhesive doesn’t form a strong permanent bond such as liquid cement?
Would appreciate any advice.

Happy New year to you all.

PVA isn't as strong as other option, but Kristal Klear is still my preferred option for clear parts, liquid cement is also an option, but normally parts are painted by the time I come to put clear parts in place so I prefer using Kristal Klear :)

Thanks, Sheppsea.
Will stick with the Kristal Klear.
