Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.
05). Remember: If you wish to have a project highlighted during the show, the image and information must be shared in this thread, not a separate post on the Facebook page!

This week I finished,
1/48 A-1H Skyraider by Tamiya. Built out of box
All parts primes in Ultimate grey
Used the Gunze aqueous paint equivalent to the tamiya ones. Used water colour pencil for the exhaust stain.
Washed in Ultimate dark dirt

Excellent fitting kit, but the decals put up a fight

Scania 112m and tub trailer (1985) Scale 1/24

Tractor unit, Italeri 143 wrecker kit modified and cut down to a tractor unit
Kit form services resin low roof, drive hubs, fuel tanks and air tanks, Photo etch checker plate and eventually some custom decals
Trailer unit, completly scratch built using Kit form services resin suspension, wheels and landing gear. Chassis and tub built from evergreen sheet, strips and rods.

Paint will be VW Opal Green and Mercedes Polar White as per fleet colours

test fit of the cab on the chassis, still needs a bit of fettling, but I need to get my finger out as this is due in AW Jenkinsons new office in Penrith by the end of the month, its custom built display case is due next week.

Hello, and happy new year!
This was finished last week, last of 2017 and it's another what-if, this time it's the F-35ADF. I've always wanted to see the F-35 with wingtip missiles so i built one. The idea is of a more agile F-35 air defense dedicated variant.
Kit is Italeri 1/72 F-35A, modified with a 2D thrust vectoring nozzle that came from a Dragon 1/72 YF-22 kit, and the wingtip LAU-129 missile launchers, which came from a Hasegawa US air-to-air weapons sets.
From the spares bag came the F-16 pylons that were modified to match the F-35's pylons, a Hasegawa F-16 pilot with a modified helmet to represent the real thing, and a couple of AIM-9x missiles stolen off a Revell F-22 Raptor.
The nozzle was adapted with some Evergreen strip and sheet styrene and sanded to shape with Ultimate sanders.
Paint was Tamiya, main color was a mix of XF-56 metallic grey with X-11 Silver in 70/30% ratio, applied over a XF-1 black base coat.
Masked off the main fuselage and sprayed XF-53 neutral gray on the RAM panel lines. It's a bit darker than the real grey but it's a whif model anyway...
Tinted the canopy with a mix of 60% of Tamiya smoke and 40% of clear red.
X-22 gloss coat, decals were a mix of the kit's decals and an aftermarket sheet from Black cat decals for PoAF lo-viz F-16s markings.
AK panel liner wash, and XF-86 matte coat to finish.
I cheated a bit with the painting because i only masked off the top RAM lines, the lower fuselage lines were carefully painted with a 2/0 brush but it was easy because i just had to follow the raised detail.
All in all, a fun project that served as a good test run for a proper build of real world example.

Since I had two weeks off work during Christmas and new year I thought I would do a quick and simple build. So started with two Tamiya P-51B Mustangs and doing them as the same plane before and after the Swedish air force bought it. Pretty much done out of the box except for Eduard belts and decals from Moose Republic. They have been painted using Ultimate Primer and MR Paints colors.

So this is how WPK-1 Husar looks like after 9 months of hard work. I scratchbuilt it in 1/72 using styrene sheets and profiles from Evergreen, copper wires of different thicknesses and a lot of glue of different kinds. Then i primed it with Tamiya rattle can primer. Preshading was done with rubber black color from Agama (i ran out of flat black ). I thinned the heck out of Agama Field Green and used that to paint it. I made masks for the greek numbers out of Tamiya masking tape. I applied them on the top and sides, then i airbrushed Agama white over it (it has poor coverage, a lot of coats was needed ) I had some leftover Polish decals from IL-28 so i applied them on the rear section of this monster. I sealed it all with Revell clear coat so the weathering can start
The railings and the wooden deck are just dry fitted.

Did a bit of work on my Tamiya 1/48 Mosquito cockpit this week - I wanted to show that this was made of wood so first painted it with XF-78 Deck Tan, let that fully cure being covering with three light coats Ammo Mig Scratches effects. I then painted it XF-71 Interior Green and created the chips with water.

I would have preferred a slightly more worn look than I ended up with, but it'll be okay hidden in the cockpit. This is also the most success I've had with this chipping technique - despite by wife saying they look like blobs of paint rather than worn chips ), I think the trick may be three light coats of the chipping fluid, letting it fully cure between each.

Will wait for it to fully cure before a gloss coat, oil wash and then detail paint

1/48 Hobby Boss A-7E CorsairII

Primed in Ultimate Grey and painted with a combination of Tamiya Acrylics and MRP's. Weathered using Tamiya's Weathering Master set D and anything else that looked dirty at the time. Although you can't see the underside it's heavily weathered as per a pic found on the internet. Not quite finished but a few more hours should see it done.

Eduard Bf-109 E-7 Tropical Weekend Edition
Only have the cockpit done so far. Out of Box (it included some Eduard cloth harnesses.)
Primed in Ultimate Black.
Paints:
-Vallejo Air RLM 2
-Vallejo Metal Steel
-MM Acrylic range
-Tamiya Acrylic range for dry brushing.

One of the better cockpits I've done so far, very pleased with results.

Hi guys, Happy new year to all. Finished this yesterday. Absolute dream of a kit to build but think they could have done better with the rear lights.

Tamiya AMG GT3
Decals by Slotfabrik, not sure id recommend these as theyre quite thick and you need to cut them individually, theres a few size issues, they dont really respond to any decal softener, but did the best i could.
