Hello everyone! This post is being created to give you, as a member of ISM, the opportunity to share what you have been working on during the week on the Friday night show.

Please read the rules below in order to participate.

01). By participating in this thread, you are giving permission for the ISM live crew to share your work during the Youtube broadcast of the ISM Live "At the Bench" Friday show.
02). Please, only post your own work and not that of others.
03). Along with your image, please include the following details: The name of the kit; the company that produces the kit; any aftermarket that you have added, along with the brands and colors of paint used (if applicable).
04). The deadline for entries each week will be between the time the post goes up until an hour before Friday's show. Entries made after the deadline will not be shown.

Meng world war toons Tiger 1 and Sherman diorama.
Homage to a scene in Kellys heroes, my fave war movie, the scene in question being where the Tiger Commander is persuaded to blow open the bank doors it's protecting.
Dollop of creative license used and a boom cloud accompanying the high explosive round exiting the 88mm cannon.
Tamiya, Vallejo and Createx acrylic paints, oil paint and pigments for weathering, cotton wool boom cloud Styrofoam wall and cobblestones.

I have been working on my Bandai K2SO and have pretty much finished it up, just a base to do. The body is painted in a custom mix of Tamiya XF56 Metallic Grey and Semigloss Black. Joints are AK Xtreme Chrome and I have weathered him with Ultimate washes, dry brush with Metallic grey and chipping done with a Tamiya medium grey. He has a Tirydium Lighting kit for his eyes.

Primed Ultimate black
Tan was painted with a concoction of Tamiya Acrylics (couldn't reproduce if I tried, but matches Vallejo Air RLM 79.)
Vallejo Air RLM 78
Vallejo Air RLM 2
White bits in Tamiya Acrylic Matte White
Mottling was Tamiya XF-58 Olive Green (RLM 80)

Very pleased with this kit so far. Next up is decals and weathering!

Carried on with my Tamiya 1/35 Challenger 2 this week. Got the main parts done, just detail on the turret to go, then side skirts after painting.

Well this is a bit of an odd one... but here goes

During the Christmas vacation I built myself a new PC for my mancave and I decided to make a custom Viggen inspired paintjob on the computer case



I have used my own mix of XF-52(Tan) , XF-13(Dark Green), XF-67 mixed with XF-3(Light Green) and XF-69(Black) for the 4-colour splinter cammo. Call signs in Dayglo Red is done with Faskolor Lexan R/C car body paint.
Masks for the Swedish Airforce emblem and call signs numbers where cut with a Silhouette Portrait cutting machine. The cammo was masked with cheap utility masking tape.

All that is left to do is to put on a satin coat.

AMK(AvantGarde Models) 1/48 MiG-31 BM/BSM fuselage was painted using Model Masters Light Grey (FS 36495) on top of black Badger Stynylrez primer. Will need more painting as I didn't get parts of the fuselage covered very well. Instructions called for Overall Light Gray (FS 36493), looked online for the equivalent of the Overall Light Gray and unable to find the right color match so I went with a closer shade of gray. Wow, this kit uses a ton of paint to airbrush it. Took more or less of 1.5 bottles, and half of the bottle ended up spilling on the bench. I will definitely need more paint as well. The intakes and wheel wells hand painted with silver and the same light gray as the exterior for the speed brake actuators and other landing gear structures. The cockpit was hand painted with Vallejo Emerald Green and Vallejo Basalt Gray. Used the decals for the instrument panels. One thing that I took away from this part of the build is always use the aftermarket PE interior sets.

Overall, great fit so far, I found that the ejection seats are a tad too tall for the closed canopy, so the only option is to do the open canopy.

Tamiya 1/32 F-14A Tomcat. Glued using TET, filled with Mr Surfacer and sanded beyond belief with Ultimate sanders. Not the best of kits and I've just started so it's either going to be a paint mule or sit on the shelf until my interest is renewed!

Back at the bench for a couple of hours this week after a break over the New Year and using this one as a January mojo builder before plunging headlong into the unknown territory of the Car & Bike GB. It's a 1/35 Panzer ii Lynx from Asuka/Tasca. No dramas so far, the plastic is good with very little in the way of mould lines, flash or EPMs to deal with, although being a German AFV there is a wheel or two involved.

Tamiya Subaru, primed in Ultimate white primer and painted in Zero paints Subaru 555 blue. then used 2K for the shine. Thanks to Paul for sending me replacement side door decals. Also thanks to Graeme, Karl, Mark, Simon and everyone else who has helped with my Gimpy Camera questions

Every time I try to clear-coat something I end up with a ton of dust stuck on them.I'm wondering if you're allowed to post a start of a project here, e.g. just a photo of the kits you're going to start working on in the vein of "I'm going to build this Tiger 1 with this figure kit to make this diorama"?

First time I tried with this model:
- Airbrushing.
- Tamiya paints.
- Weathering (Tamiya).

Starting this hobby, now there are two models on the workbench, Tamiya VW Beetle 1966 and Revell Ford Escort MK2 rally.

Been doing a bit more work on my GWH F-15D. Been a really great kit so far, have only added a pair of Aires seats and done a bit of scratch building in the avionics bays and radar bulkhead. I've used mostly MR Paints colors over Ultimate primer with a bit of Vallejo for detail painting. With any luck I should be able to have all the remaining small parts painted by the end of the weekend and then start putting down the decals and maybe start thinking about a base.

Oh wow thats cool. I didnt know airfix had a 4 stroke engine. I remember making the visible V8 a long while ago (I think Revell). What is its scale? Do you have an ISM build link started here? cool!

It's an old kit that got re-released a few years ago, there are a few for sale on ebay etc. I got mine for about £15 I think. Try a search for "Airfix Four-Stroke Engine A07870 " and it should pop up. I haven't started a build thread here yet, but I plan to once I have a bit more progress.
It's not a great quality kit, the crankshaft halves didn't line up and need a lot of filing and force to align for example. Not sure on the scale, it's not marked on the box, but the finished model is 198mm high.
