Alclad and TS13

Post by Pistol »

As Tamiya TS13 clear has a tendency to trash decals I wondered if anyone has tried Alclad Aqua Gloss over Tamiya TS paint as a final clear? If so did it need polishing and how did it turn out? I have experimented with other clears but not the Alclad/TS13 combo hence my interest! Cheers guys :bash: :cheers2:

Alclad aqua gloss can be a great final clear, with many coats and a LOT of elbow grease you can get a great, smooth shine

Thanks Ivan, that’s really helpful. I don’t rate Alclad (pre weathering) these days tbh but it’s an option for a final clear by the sound of it. I’m assuming I might need to use mm as well as the 3 step Tamiya compounds by the sound of it! :thumb1:

Yes you will, working through the grits then the compounds you can get a very nice shine.
