My entry into this GB.

Out the box build, i de-seamed it tonight, then after a clean over with Ultimate cleaner it was primed in Ultimate white primer. Tommorrow it will be flatted and then given the base colour of Zero blue.

Got the skyline base painted on blue yesterday and decaled today. Also managed to film some decaling to show How I do it in a video, which is over not he ISM You tube channel

Beautiful finish, i presume you have laid the decals over the flat finish?

Holy shite that blue is gorgeous. Contrast with the white decals really makes it all pop!!!

Loved the decal video and do similar things. Bought a plug in coffee warmer a while ago so no more running back and forth to the sink for hot water.
I had to read the bottle instructions when I started out as was so confused with sol and set order.
My go to for a stubborn thick decal is carefully adding Tamiya X20 to the surface....it will wrinkle like crazy and soften it. Then careful manipulation to unfold as you described.

Todays job was to 2K clear the skyline so thought it would be an ideal time to do a video on how i use 2k, all went well showing everything i use, mixing it etc, then the 2 tack coats for me to only go and forget to hit record when doing the wet coat, what an idiot i am.
Ah well i'll get it on my next build...
