Airfix 1/76 Cromwell IV

[Quax]

This was given to me as an Xmas present and represents the first Allied AFV I have ever built (I'm 51....)

A couple of sprue shots and the markings sheet, I'm going to build the 5th Royal Horse Artillery version

It all goes together quite easily, the back of the wheels go first, the only tricky bit is to ensure the drive sprocket goes close enough to the hull otherwise theres a fit issue with the side skirts

all built up...

I only had Tamiya Khaki rather than Olive drab, it was then given a covering of Ultimate dark dirt and ooops a daisy its finished!

As you can see the Star decal for the roof of the turret doesnt like conforming with the vent(?) that sticks up and gave up the ghost otherwise all was ok

the end. On the whole it was a nice easy build, whether its a good representation of a Cromwell I have no idea and I'll leave that to others to judge.
Thanks for looking

Oh that looked like a fun little build! Amazing how nice the tracks look too.

Very nice! I was considering getting one of these myself when I saw them in Aldi, got the 109 instead!
