Exciting project Dan, bet you can't wait!

Is it normal demolition practice to remove the walls before the roof?

Really can't wait now lol and it seemed easier at the time but regretted it after when I couldn't move the roof lol(very heavy) ended up cutting it up in to 6 pieces just to move it on my own :bash: :bash:

Yeah no pole dancing for me two left hands  that's one sight I would not want too see  and as long as you don't cause a lot of smoke your pretty much ok with a fire obviously within reason but can't wait for it to come and be done now it's been a killer with work and crapy weather

Now this is something I really miss not living in the UK any longer and that's the garden sheds... We just don't have them here.
I've been in sheds that have been better taken care of than many houses I've been in!

Yours is looking very nice indeed and very well built! :th:

Ah. I know that. LOL BUT, considering I am in the land of 90 degrees and 95% humidity, I see a box like that and automatically think torture chamber if there is no AC. LOL

Hi :hi: me again with a mediocre update :nena: once the cave was up I had to leave it a day for things to settle : but the next day after work I got going with the floor, to make it water tight I used torch on bitumen to seal the concrete and give me a good barrier against moisture, it took a few days to do after work but really happy with how it went (well apart from the small fires I kept starting ) :bash:

I'm using 25mm x 50mm timber for the floor with 25mm insulation and a covering of 18mm mdf there will be a final Rubber mat type of stuff to finish it off at the end.

I've left a 200mm gap all the way around so that when the walls go in there will be space for insulation and an air gap to the outside wall again for moisture purposes but that's for another update so till next time :thumb1: :hi:

Hello me again   it's been a long time since I've done anything on the cave but as the weather is starting to improve I decided to go get a load of materials to carry on,so with I got going this morning and had a good few hours in there doing some wood butchery  ,got most of the long wall up and insulated
Image
Image

Then moved on to a section of the roof got that done and insulated
Image
Image
Hopefully if the weather keeps getting better I should be done in a couple of months (not committed could be longer) but I'm under pressure from the wife as she wants her bedroom back
Hopefully be back with another update next week sometime

Be able to incorporate a covered walkway to house next.... saves the wet feet. Missus would love that.
Just trying to help  ;) :cheers2:

Covered walkway to the new wing could mean you’re no longer a temporary structure so planning permission required :shhh:

Joking only joking. Looks amazing already :jd:. I’m über jealous
