Meng World War Tunes M4 Sherman (and vignette to boot!)

Howdy all.

Decided to try my hand at a diorama/vignette. I have zero experience and gleaned all knowledge from some of the wonderful people here and their Youtube videos... I probably should have done more research. Started with a piece of wood and painted it black. Then I taped it off and applied some plaster of paris. After minimal shaping (it was really watery) I sprayed it with 3 different shades of earth/tan/brown to give a layered effect. Next, I applied a coat of Brown Vallejo Wash. Idk if that was really necessary.

After that I mimic'd what I saw other people do with globbing Modge Podge matte and applying the green dusty stuff that comes in the season salt containers. Tried to do some recesses with rocks. Like when you see them in an arroyo or something. Eh.

The subject tank is a Meng World War Tunes M4 Sherman. I found one for $4 at a local hobby store and deemed it adequate for this experiment (also, it wouldn't be a huge monetary setback if I smashed it from rage when dealing with vignette stuff.) Cool little tank. I'll atleast keep it around.
